Congrats to the Chargers! Great swimming all weekend… Based on what I saw this weekend I now have even higher expectations for Districts than I had on Friday.
*** Practice continues on at the same times for those swimming in our 9 & U Championships on 3/1 and those who’ve qualified for Districts , States and Nationals.
All swimmers interested in attending the Divisonal Dinner, Thursday, Feb. 14th need to sign up in the lobby.

We are requesting volunteers at The CPAL Divisional Championship at CVHS on the 16th the CHARGERS are to provide - 1 Finish Judge. 1 Stroke a Turn Judge (responsible for bringing our stopwatches), 4 Timers and a Colorado/Hytek Technician for each of the AM and PM Sessions.
We’ll offer these volunteer spots on a “first to respond deal”. I know that many of you realize it’s much better to be active at a meet than stuck in the stands.
Folks,
As my original email regarding the meet on Sunday stated it’s specifically for swimmers who need a Y – Y or CPAL meet. I opened the meet up to anyone that was really close to a Divisonal cut to help those close to qualifying.
Since then I’ve been flooded with responses requesting multiple events. Just to be clear I told Waynesboro I’d probably be bring 10 kids and now have requests from almost 30 kids to swim up to 3 events a piece. I can’t accommodate all these requests with out stretching this into a full meet which won’t be akin to my original declaration that we’d bring roughly 10. More importantly, Waynesboro only has the pool for 90 minutes or so which will be just enough time to accommodate the swimmers who need the meet.
So if you don’t need the meet or aren’t really close to a district cut or if you’re already in districts, please let me know so that I can enter only the kids who have a real need to swim in this meet. Thanks.
The Valentines 9 & Under is on the 10th of Feb 10 AM warmup.
The Waynesboro meet is that afternoon for the older kids that need that meet.
Please have any entries for the Valentines 9 & Under in By Friday. I know the normal entry sheet was missing just write info on the sheet and return to meet entry box in pool office.
For those that require and additional CPAL or Y – Y meet we will be swimming a short order dual meet with Waynesboro here on Tuesday night the 5th of February warm up at 6 PM. If you have the meets you need already but would like to swim a certain event for time or district cut please let me know and we will make it happen that night.
Do to scheduling difficulties the Etxra meet with Waynesboro is not going to happen this Tuesday the 5th.
We have it penciled in for Sunday the 10th 12:30 Warm Up 1:00 Start at Waynesboro YMCA. I will have that inked by Monday.
Thanks for the patience. If you have notified me that you planned on swimming and can’t make the 10th in Waynesboro please let me know ASAP. If not we’ll put those that have requested entry so far into the meet as planned.
Well Folks, The season just keeps rolling along. I am pleased with the swimming we’ve seen in these cold months and look forward to unprecedented success stories for the Charger Swimmers down the Champion Meet Stretch that lay ahead.
******* Short week leads us into the last CPAL Dual Meet this Saturday here in C- Burg. Reminder please verify with the check list in the lobby that you child is swimming on Saturday. Also the volunteer list that we used for the last dual meet was getting volunteers for both meets so if you sign up last time we’re expecting help. If you can help this time around please sign up in the lobby.
****** The WSY Winter Meet 2/ 2-3 was a no go from WSY
****** Sign Up for attending the WSY 9 & U Valentines Meet will be in the boxes ASAP
***** 2/23 is the date for the WSY Last Chance meet to be held at Northern High School 655 South Baltimore, Dillsburg, PA. This is a key meet if you need another Y or CPAL meet for championship criteria. If you plan on swimming see me.
***** Everyone who swam in at least 3 dual meets is expected to swim in Divisional Championships on 2/16.

First off, congratulations to all who swam this weekend. The Chargers are rolling right now and the coaches are very proud of our athletes and duly impressed with the way the team is swimming at this point.
Don’t rest however; we have a whole lot of work left to do.
We’re going to keep all this going on Saturday with our dual meet against Cumberland Valley. If you have not checked off that you are coming to the meet on Saturday please do so on the lobby board by Wednesday the 9th.
Second, there is a parents meeting tonight Monday 1/7 at 7:00 PM.
Finally… We are getting closer to the Huber Pool being reopened. In the mean time we are going to alter the practice schedule accordingly.
Level 1 & 2 M – F 6:15 – 7:15
Level 3 & 4 M – F 7:00 – 8:30
Anybody who chooses to do so may also attend morning practice on either Tuesday or Thursday at 6:00 AM this week.
As soon as the pool situation returns to normal we will immediately return to our normal practice times for each level. I will email you all the moment this happens.
Thanks for being patient. ~ Coach
