Chargers Juniors Coach: Amanda Fenn
Amanda Fenn is very excited to be begin her first full season with the Chargers.
Amanda came to the Chargers last March after being the head swimming and
diving coach at Shippensburg High School for the past 6 years. Prior to that,
Amanda was an assistant age group coach for the Lionville Community YMCA for
5 years.
Coach Amanda began swimming competitively at the Upper Main Line YMCA
(UMLY) at the age of 4. She swam for UMLY for 10 years before switching clubs
to swim for Lionville Community YMCA. After graduating from high school,
Amanda attended Shippensburg University, where she was a three-year
letterwinner in both swimming and tennis. After graduating from college in 2006,
she was hired by the Shippensburg Area School District where she currently
teaches 3rd grade at James Burd Elementary.
As a division II athlete, Coach Amanda represented Shippensburg in several
tennis matches at the PSAC Championships in various flights of play. As a
swimmer, she was a PSAC placewinner in the 100-yard butterfly.
Coach Amanda is also a certified personal fitness trainer through American
Aerobic Association International (AAAI) and the International Sports Medicine
Association (ISMA). She received her masters of science in education from Wilkes
University in 2009, majoring in educational development and strategies.
